You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. The motor needed to be re-clocked but this video https://youtu.be/QK8C8rxbkhc gave the information needed.
Between AppliancePartsPros.com and youtube I have rebuilt this fridge (water valve, Ice maker, Auger gearbox and ice shute door)
Probably could do the job in about 30 minutes now that I know how and exactly what needs to be done. Only needed the pliers to turn the motor shaft
