The Front orifice holder is an OEM replacement part for GE gas ranges/cooktops. This part is located under the cooktop, beneath the burner. It supplies the gas to the stovetop and houses the natural gas or propane orifice.
Causes of a malfunctioning front orifice holder can be worn over time, cracks or damage from accidental impacts or mishandling, or blockages within the gas channels.
Symptoms of a bad front orifice holder include:
- Uneven or inconsistent burner flame sizes
- Difficulties maintaining or reaching desired cooking temperatures
- Higher gas usage for no apparent reason
- Smells of gas inside or around the appliance
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Once I watched the video on your site about gas line install, it became apparent why the line bent when I raised the lid.. also discovered those two rods have nest to go into and the lid/top now sets down tight as designed ( and as an added bonus, gas smell disappeared during oven use)
I ordered the gas lines with the model number, ordered all four …. it was a bit of a chore one came up when site opened I picked it, but did not know if it was the RH or LH etc.. so reading some of your answers...
