Carl, If the filter indicator light is coming on and the control is beeping then it sounds like the dispenser interface WR55X10517 is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Casey K for Model Number GSS22SGRF

This may be two different issues that happened to occur at the same time, but they seem related. Ice/water dispenser quit working after the ice cube bin got way too full. Makes ice just fine still, and ice making turns on and off with the switch there. Freezer light turns on and off with the door switch. The selection light still functions, and changes with your choice, but nothing else works. After this started, we noticed a deep clicking sound that continues until a compressor sound kicks in. The lights inside will flicker with each click and depressing the ice dispenser bar in the door seems to stop the clicking and help the compressor kick in. We took the panel off the back, and the clicking seems to be coming from the lower right area of the circuit board. We tried unplugging it for a period of time (an hour?) but that seemed to make it even harder to kick over. Other than this, the compartments are cooled appropriately.

Casey, There are 2 different issues be most likely equate to the same problem. The issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board. When the compressor relay is clicking it means that the relay is going bad and eventually will not work at all. You would want to replace the control board WR55X10942C.

Bob, You would check across the red and white wires for DC voltage. If there is no power then you would want to check the wire harness at the bottom or top of the door to make sure that there are no loose or broken.

Hello James, This would more than likely be the user interface that would be causing issue. You will want to also check the connector at the bottom or top of door to make sure that there is no loose or broken wires.

Hello Arian. No, based on the information you provided it either sounds like the water valve is bad or the water is freezing inside the freezer door. Next time it does not work, remove the water line from the bottom of the freezer door and see if water comes out there. If so, the line inside the door is frozen and will need to be thawed out.
