Steve, when the water dispenser is engaged, you should get 120v AC to the valve WR57X33326. If you are getting that voltage to the valve when the water dispenser is engaged, it is unlikely that the control board is the issue. You will want to verify that there is water getting to the valve, from there you will want to test the voltage. If there is voltage there but no water comes out, then you have a valve issue or a frozen water line. You will also want to test the icemaker by putting it into a forced harvest and testing to make sure that it sends 120v AC to the valve as well. The icemaker can be put into a forced harvest if you turn it off, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on and then press the bail arm in and release 5 times within a 15 second timeframe. If it does not send voltage to the valve, then you may have an icemaker issue [WR30X10093].

Hi, The LED light for water/crushed ice/cube ices is automatically switching. When the water button on IDA(Interface Display Assembly) is press the Green LED won't come. When the Crushed ice button is pressed the LED won't come. Some time it will work but them automatically it will turn on the Cube Ice LED on IDA. Then it won't allow to switch to water or crushed ice for certain period of time. I need to confirm two things. 1. Do i need to replace Interface Dsiplay Assembly? 2. If yes, then How do i replace the interface display assembly, do you have how to guide or video guide or send me instructions? Thanks, Rupesh

Rupesh, Yes, this issue would be caused by a faulty user interface WR55X10517. To replace just grab the bottom of the display and pull straight out.

Water stopped coming out of the door dispenser. I unfroze the line and it worked fine. A few days later the water button and crushed ice button would not work. All other buttons work. When I engage the door lock and try to hit the water or crushed ice button the lock led indicates that it is locked ( so the buttons are somewhat working) but when I turn the door lock back off it will still not switch to water or crushed. The cubed ice is always on. Any Ideas?

Tom, Based on the issue that you are having with the leds not switch would be caused by a faulty user interface part number WR55X10517.

Ed, The likely hood of the user interface being faulty and causing only crushed ice would be very slim. This issue would most likely be caused by the ice crush/cube solenoid which is located next to the auger motor. Either the solenoid has failed or the arm has broken on the solenoid.

Dietrich, What you will want to do is remove the kickplate of the unit and disconnect the water line that comes to the freezer door. Make sure that you have a towel handy. Put the unit to water and push the dispenser like dispensing the water. If water comes out of the tub that comes out from under the refrigerator, then the water line in the door has frozen and you would want to install the dispenser tube heater kit part number WR49X10173.

David, If there are no lights on the display then you will want to check the connection at the bottom of the door to make sure that there are no loose or broken connections. If this checks ok then the most likely cause would be a faulty main control board WR55X10942C.
