Bob, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a stuck key on the console. You will want to disconnect the power to reset the unit. Once reset then try to run a cycle and if the problem persist then you would want to replace the keypad.

Pattie, To install the control module assembly you will first need to turn the power off to the unit. Open the door and remove the screws around the perimeter of the door in order to access the control panel. Once the control panel is accessed you will remove the wiring from the control module and take out the control module. Install the new one.

Hello Paul. It could be the module. You need to check and see if the unit has a wire touching ground and causing the issue you are having with the unit.

Hello Mary, First check the breaker. If it is not tripped, flip it off and back on. now remove the kick panel and check inside the power connection box for burned wire nuts. If they appear to be fine, you should still pull on each wire to make sure they are secure in the wire nuts. If they are all tight and voltage is present at this point, you will need to open the inner door panel and check the door switches. If the switches are good, check for power to the control. If power is supplied to the control and not exiting the board, the board has failed. There should be a mini manual in the base of the unit. If you remove the kick panel and look up at the bottom of the tub you should see a folded piece of paper stuck between a metal heat shield and the plastic tub assembly. This will have troubleshooting information and a wiring diagram on it to assist in your repair. On this design, I would first suspect a door switch if power is getting to it.

Steve for Model Number GE Dishwasher PDW7800G00BB

Dishwasher will not fill with water. There is no power to the water valve or the flood switch. I took the front off and there is no power coming from the control module (control circuit board) on the power switching terminal #2 pink wire. When I go into the service mode and enter the code to test each component I get power for each component other than the test to activate the water valve. Is the control module bad? Or is there another test I need to perform?
