Charley March 19, 2012 for Model Number GE GSD 6600 GOOWW While the washer is filling with water it shuts off and starts washing before it is full. The water level does not even get to the flow switch to shut off. Is this a problem of the module or the fill valve?
1 Answer Hello Charley. Check and see if the float is stuck in the up position. If not, and the valve is good, you will need to replace the flood switch assembly WD12X10151. Hope this helps. Read More...
Charley March 18, 2012 for Model Number GE GSD 6600 GOOWW The unit will not fill with water before it starts to wash. The water level never gets high enough to make the float valve stop the water from coming in.
1 Answer Hello Charley. The float switch doesn't normally shut the water off. The float switch is a flood prevention switch. The dishwasher fills on a time basis. The water level should almost touch the heating element. If it isn't filling to this level, I would suspect the water pressure or the water inlet valve WD15X10003. Sure hope this was useful in your repair. Have a great day! Read More...
Denis January 13, 2012 for Model Number gsd6200gww All the control panel push buttons function when pushed but reglardless of mode I am operating in, dishwasher fills with water, goes to a 10-15 second idle stage then starts to wash for 5-10 seconds then drains. Frank November 06, 2011 for Model Number GE Dishwasher GSD6200G00BB The heating element is not working. I replaced it with a new one and it is still not working. I then tested the old heating element and it passed the continuity test. It is apparently not receiving power. Except for the heating element the dishwasher seems to be working properly.
1 Answer Hello Frank. If the heater is good, and the wiring is good, then you will need to replace the control module WD21X10174. Hope this helps. Read More...
John B. June 25, 2011 for Model Number gsd6760g00ss I have power to the unit and all the touch pad controls change as you select each one. Once you hit the start touch pad it blows the main circut breaker. You can reset the breaker and again it powers up and you can change any touch funtion. Touch the start function and it pops the circut breaker again.
1 Answer Hello John. The control module assembly can be shorted , this part # is WD21X10174. However, I would suggest calling a local manufacture approved repairman unless you positively determine the diagnosis first. I hope this helps. Thank you. Read More...
Mongo May 19, 2011 for Model Number PDW7300G00WW I have been having problems with the soap dispenser drawer not opening during the cycle. Soap is left in the drawer on most cycles. Just recently, after the cycle was complete, all of the control lights were off and pushing the buttons had no effect. When I opened the door, I could hear a motor running and it would not shut off until I cut the power to the unit. After I powered it back up, the motor was not running and the functions were restored.
1 Answer Hello Mongo! If your door is sticking shut, it may be due to a damaged spring or catch. If cleaning the dispenser out does not help, on this unit it would require replacing the entire soap dispenser. That part is WD12X10163. I hope this info helps. Read More...
Peter W. May 15, 2011 for Model Number GSD6200G00BB I am suspecting that the control module is defective possibly due to an electrical spike. The LED lights are working but on pressing start nothing happens. The only item that reacts is the vent flap. Have powered off d/washer and repowered but no effect.
1 Answer Hello Peter. Try removing the ribbon cable and cleaning it. If it still does not work, you will need to replace the control panel WD34X10600. Hope this helps. Read More...
