Gerald T. January 18, 2013 for Model Number pfs22sisbss My fridge and freezer does not work , lights come on in both compartments . The compressor is warm to the touch and appears to hum . Condenser fan does not work .The display control board does not light up . This all started happening after motorist ran into power pole and all the power shut down .It sounds like the evaporator motor is working . I was thinking the main control board may have shorted out . Any help will be appreciated .

Mike July 27, 2012 for Model Number GSS25JFMDWW The freezer seems to be working but the refrigerator is not cold. I checked the damper and it was shut so I opened the damper manually, but it is only staying a little cooler. I was wondering if the issue is either the Temperature Sensor (Part #241) or Motor Assembly Ref fan (Part AP3855880). I also would appreciate the location of both of the parts, and would it be easier to replace both items? Thanks, Mike
1 Answer Mike, You may want to start at the damper assembly WR09X10050 it's the most common issue for your complaint. We don't find a refrigerator circulation fan in the wiring diagram or the parts diagram for the model number you supplied. and the thermistor / temp sensor is the least likely issue at this point, but make sure the sensor cover and area are not blocked or coverred, that would cause the sensor to react improperly. We're sending you some technical information that should be helpful, should you need to test the sensor resistance and repalcing the damper assembly. Thanks Read More...
