Tim, This issue would mean that the icemaker would need to be replaced if the arm is not coming down. There is a test button on the bottom of the motor and see if it will cycle. If it does then the issue will be within the icemaker.

John M for Model Number Lsc27925st

My ice maker attempts to dump but fails do do so. Upon deicing with hair dryer I noticed that the tray is callisfying you know calcium buildup in the tray. Looks very dirty. We believe that is what is causing the resistance to dropping ice. How do we property clean the tray. Don't suggest to wipe tray out with vinegar. Too much buildup. How and can we remove just the tray to get at the build up? And I noticed that a lot of similar complaints no dirty tray was mentioned as a possible culprit.

John, Unfortunately this unit is not designed to pull the icemaker apart to clean. You could try vinegar by pulling the icemaker out and allow it to soak in vinegar. The only other thing to do would be to replace the icemaker.

John, The most likely cause for the unit to not eject the ice would be a faulty thermistor or sensor on the icemaker which would require a new icemaker assembly.

Scrappygoofy, The right side should rotate around to a certain point. If it is not doing this then look for anything that would be blocking it. If there is nothing then it would be a issue of a faulty icemaker.
