Charles June 08, 2015 for Model Number LG LFX25975ST Ever since we got this refrigerator we have run short on ice cubes. The icemaker that comes with this fridge is small and located in the freezer door. Is it possible to add a generic ice maker in the top of the freezer drawer? We could split off the water line to feed the new unit. Also the water fill located on the fridge door runs really slow even though I replaced the water filter cartridge. ( I did test water pressure going to back of fridge and it is strong). Any suggestions? Thanks Charles

Steve May 27, 2015 for Model Number LSC27910ST Fan blade in freezer rubbing on something. Defrost and noise stops for awhile till ice builds again. I can tell it's the fan and not the motor because I can hear the blades slow then stop when I open the door.

Alex March 30, 2015 for Model Number LSC27925ST Our ice maker filled the entire bin and has worked well, however the last few days a funny noise has been coming from the unit. I opened the unit today to find the ice tray was only filling on one side and was apparently not dumping correctly. Subsequently, the water was pouring off the ice onto the side of the freezer. I removed the entire unit and thawed the tray. I plugged the unit back in and pressed the 'test' button. The unit only makes a single beep and then does nothing. Does this indicate a failure? I am not sure what ice maker model to purchase as it seems my model number is not listed as one of the compatible models. Thank you.

J Franklin March 30, 2015 for Model Number LSC26905TT Turned off ice maker 4 months ago due to water leaking down the back corner of freezer. Online now trying to determine the issue at hand. Thawed fill tube with hair dryer and turned on ice maker. How long should it take for water to fill the trays. 30 minutes so far and nothing yet. Is this telling me I have to replace the water inlet valve again. Replaced before due to water leaking from valve itself. Please help.
1 Answer J. Franklin, You will want to stick finger in the tray to make sure that it did not fill with water. If it has not then push the test button at the bottom of the icemaker motor and this should push the unit through a cycle. Check to make sure that the water fills when this is done. If it does then the icemaker would be the issue in that the thermistor is not reading the temperature properly. If it does not fill then the water valve is most likely the issue. Read More...

Skip Bowen October 29, 2014 for Model Number LFX25976ST Ice maker will not dump ice from freezer tray into the bin. There is ice cubes inside the tray.
