Larry Pool for Model Number PSD262LHEB

The buttons that you push on part Ap4080357 the one for crushed has pushed through and there is a nickel size plastic circle that fell out. We need to replace that and fix the water side as you have to push it just right to get water. Can you tell me if this part is what we need and is there installation instructions on the part when we order it. If this is not the correct part can you tell me what part to use and how to get installation instructions.

Larry, The part that you would need for the button would be the façade WP67004284. To remove the façade you would take the drip tray out and there will be 2 screws that hold the façade in place. Remove the screws and lift the façade off. Switch the control board to the new façade and reinstall.

Steve, Sounds like you're on track the dispenser lights and the water dispenser isn't working. WP67004258 would be the place to start, and the most likely issue. But, you could also have an issue in the fill valve WP67005154, but start at the control board. Good Luck and Thanks

Jimmy for Model Number MSD2650HEW

Thanks for the previous answer. I wanted to make sure that water was getting to the water inlet valve on my Maytag Fridge. How do I get the plastic hose off the top of the water inlet valve? Where it's connected I see a little blue round thing on top of a little black round thing? Is there a trick to getting this off without putting a whole in the plastic hose? At first I thought that I could just pull the hose off, but that doesn't seem to be a good idea, so I stopped.

Hello Jimmy. The thing your dealing with is called a john guess fitting. These are easy once you understand how they work. To remove it, you push in on the line,(toward the valve), and push the ring around the line toward the water valve. Now, while holding the ring toward the valve, Pull the line out. To install you push the line as hard as you can and it will "pop" in. Pulling on it seals the fitting. (You must pull on the line to make it seat and not leak). Hope this was informative without confusion. Have a great day!

Hello Jimmy. Yes, it sounds like you will need to replace the control board WP67004258. The manufacture does not sell parts to repair the control boards. It sounds like you are on the right track for the water issue with the unit. It sounds like the water valve may be the issue. Hope this helps.

Hello Ronald. You will need to check and see if the fill tube is frozen. If so, you will need to replace the water valve WP67005154 and thaw out the fill tube in the unit. Hope this helps.
