Larry Pool November 19, 2013 for Model Number PSD262LHEB The buttons that you push on part Ap4080357 the one for crushed has pushed through and there is a nickel size plastic circle that fell out. We need to replace that and fix the water side as you have to push it just right to get water. Can you tell me if this part is what we need and is there installation instructions on the part when we order it. If this is not the correct part can you tell me what part to use and how to get installation instructions.
1 Answer Larry, The part that you would need for the button would be the façade WP67004284. To remove the façade you would take the drip tray out and there will be 2 screws that hold the façade in place. Remove the screws and lift the façade off. Switch the control board to the new façade and reinstall. Read More...
Steve May 20, 2012 for Model Number PSD 262 LHEW Water is not dispensing although it dispenses cubed ice just fine. None of the dispenser lights work, but it seems to be stuck in cube dispensing mode, when the switch is pressed, it activates the agitator inside the icemaker as if it is trying to dispense ice. No water comes out but ice cubes accumulate in the chute because, as expected, the chute door is closed in water dispensing mode.
1 Answer Steve, Sounds like you're on track the dispenser lights and the water dispenser isn't working. WP67004258 would be the place to start, and the most likely issue. But, you could also have an issue in the fill valve WP67005154, but start at the control board. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Jimmy March 10, 2012 for Model Number MSD2650HEW Thanks for the previous answer. I wanted to make sure that water was getting to the water inlet valve on my Maytag Fridge. How do I get the plastic hose off the top of the water inlet valve? Where it's connected I see a little blue round thing on top of a little black round thing? Is there a trick to getting this off without putting a whole in the plastic hose? At first I thought that I could just pull the hose off, but that doesn't seem to be a good idea, so I stopped.
1 Answer Hello Jimmy. The thing your dealing with is called a john guess fitting. These are easy once you understand how they work. To remove it, you push in on the line,(toward the valve), and push the ring around the line toward the water valve. Now, while holding the ring toward the valve, Pull the line out. To install you push the line as hard as you can and it will "pop" in. Pulling on it seals the fitting. (You must pull on the line to make it seat and not leak). Hope this was informative without confusion. Have a great day! Read More...
Jimmy March 07, 2012 for Model Number msd2650hew Maytag Fridge. I accidently knocked off the far left capacitor on the control board (Part Number: AP4080117). Is there a simple fix or do I need to order a new control board? By the way, I was trying to figure out why my water stopped working and the ice cubes are small. I now see that it may be the water inlet valve. ugh.
1 Answer Hello Jimmy. Yes, it sounds like you will need to replace the control board WP67004258. The manufacture does not sell parts to repair the control boards. It sounds like you are on the right track for the water issue with the unit. It sounds like the water valve may be the issue. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ronald S. January 31, 2012 for Model Number LSD2615HEW Does the control board control the ice maker to control the water. My ice maker will drop ice if I manually pour water in machine. water valve and ice maker are good.
1 Answer Hello Ronald. You will need to check and see if the fill tube is frozen. If so, you will need to replace the water valve WP67005154 and thaw out the fill tube in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
