Dave August 23, 2015 for Model Number MAH6500AWW For some reason, my washing cycle has gained minutes. My dryer also started the same thing. Is this a programming problem? I'd hate to order new parts and have the same problems. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Dave, There is nothing internal to the machines that would cause this in both the washer and dryer at the same time. I would have the power supply checked by the utility board. There could be a ducting issue with the dryer at the same time a temperature difference has occurred from the water heater but of course I am speculating without actually being there to test temperatures and make other checks. James August 26, 2014 for Model Number MAH6500AWW The door will not lock. I can sometimes shake or close the door hard and it will work. I had a similar problem about 3 years ago and had to have the control board replaced. Would this be the same problem? If so, what is the correct part number so I can order it.
1 Answer Hello James. Look for loose wiring connections. If none are found, you will need to order and replace the door latch assembly WP22003593 on the unit. Read More...

David January 26, 2014 for Model Number Maytag MAH6500AW 24 series Washer just recently turning on by itself and beeps. One time all of the lights on control pad where lit up. Have unplugged unit and plugged in unit turned off and in a couple of minutes the unit turns on and starts beeping. Figure its the main control board. Is the most current version of this board 22004257 or is there a more updated version?
1 Answer Hello David, The machine control board recommended for the 24 series is WP22004257. The issue you described is more likely to be the membrane switch 22003910 with a stuck key. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Ralph. Make sure the door is locking, and the drain pump is working. Also, make sure the balance switches are good on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Mike August 24, 2013 for Model Number mah6500aww The washer will not start when the blinking start button is pushed. But at some point during the day will start and run a complete cycle on its own full load or while empty. Occasionaly it will start when the start button is pushed, But will only run for 1 or 2 minutes then shut off.. could this problem be in the control board or possibly elsewhere? Thank you.
1 Answer Mike, If the unit is turning on by itself then the issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board WP22004257. Read More...
Dean June 02, 2013 for Model Number neptune awm3000 When starting washer water some times won't flow. When it does, it starts and stops to the point wear as the water pipes rattle. Parts are expensive so if I can narrow it down it would be a big help. thanks.
1 Answer Dean, You will want to shut off water and take the water hoses off the unit. Check the screws inside the water valve for debris. If there is debris you will need to clean out the debris. If no debris then you will need to replace the water valve. Read More...
Ron B. March 18, 2013 for Model Number Maytag Neptune MAH6500AWW This washer appears to go through all its functions until the final drain and spin. Owner tells me it pumps down OK after first wash.Believe he said it will not pump down or go into the final spin. They have been pulling the drain hose and running it through their back door to drain the tub, then hand wringing the clothes of excess water before drying. Pulled the pump and it tests OK on 120 volts....hoses and boot are clear, drive belt is OK, all wiring and sockets OK. If it's the control board, is 22004257 (AP4028134) the correct board for S/N 24873562CN? Is the brown phenolic housing with four lead contacts mounted on the pump part of the pressure switch control assembly? Could that cause the last pump/spin failure? Ron Browne The Fixer
1 Answer Hello Ron. If it spins and drains in all cycles, except final spin, you will need to order and replace the control board in the unit. Read More...
Paul July 03, 2012 for Model Number MAH6500AWW Water has to be physically turned off at the faucet or washer will continue to fill with water even if turned off. Service tech said circuit board was bad. Would it be the control baord that is bad and if so which control board would I purchase?
1 Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, if you have to turn the water off to stop the water you will need to replace the water valve WP22003834 on the unit. The control board is not the issue unless the water stops by turning off the board. Read More...

Is a electronic control panel in our future?
