Hello Dave, There is nothing internal to the machines that would cause this in both the washer and dryer at the same time. I would have the power supply checked by the utility board. There could be a ducting issue with the dryer at the same time a temperature difference has occurred from the water heater but of course I am speculating without actually being there to test temperatures and make other checks.

Dean, You will want to shut off water and take the water hoses off the unit. Check the screws inside the water valve for debris. If there is debris you will need to clean out the debris. If no debris then you will need to replace the water valve.

Ron B. for Model Number Maytag Neptune MAH6500AWW

This washer appears to go through all its functions until the final drain and spin. Owner tells me it pumps down OK after first wash.Believe he said it will not pump down or go into the final spin. They have been pulling the drain hose and running it through their back door to drain the tub, then hand wringing the clothes of excess water before drying. Pulled the pump and it tests OK on 120 volts....hoses and boot are clear, drive belt is OK, all wiring and sockets OK. If it's the control board, is 22004257 (AP4028134) the correct board for S/N 24873562CN? Is the brown phenolic housing with four lead contacts mounted on the pump part of the pressure switch control assembly? Could that cause the last pump/spin failure? Ron Browne The Fixer
