For Whirlpool Control Board Sensor (Part Number: OEM12133113)

Scott for Model Number mah8700aww

When I called maytag and priced the control board for my washer they asked for the first 2 digits of my serial number for the correct part. This site does not ask that so I need the part number for a control board. My serial number is 11275315gp. Also, there is no picture and according to the part diagram I assume it is #5 and it says control board sensor, does this include the whole piece, sensor and control board both? Mine has a black case with the computer board covered in a gel so not sure I can replace it if its not together as an assy. Thanks for any help.

Scott, according to the model/serial number of your washer the replacement board is part number 34001494. This includes the control board, motion sensor w/ bracket and the wire harness. Thanks!

Hello Nef. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board is the issue, not the motor.

Hello Rusty. If the motor is new, you will need to check and see if the wiring is good on the washer. If it is good, then it could have a bad control board 34001494 on the unit. Make sure there are no broken wires going to the motor, and the connections on the wires are good.

Hello Marco. There have been problems with the motor wire harness connector on these washers. The problems are either a loose or bent terminal in the molex connector. Unplug the connector and tug on each wire. If a wire comes loose from the plug, bend the locking tab up. If a locking tab is not properly seated in the plug connector, the terminals will not fully engage as the connector is plugged into the motor. Another manifestation of this problem is that one of the terminals may be bent. Inspect the terminals on the motor side of the connector. Straighten any bent terminals if they exist. Recheck the harness side of the terminal block if any bent terminals are found. Bent terminals can indicate a problem with the locking tab inside the plug. If the connections are good, you will need to replace the motor WP34001437. Hope this helps.
