Hello Chuck. Yes there is a difference between the two parts. The tubing is a little different from the left to the right. These are set up for natural gas and would need to be converted to lp. The conversion kit part number is WP7509P129-60. Hope this helps.

Hello John. If you unscrew the white plastic piece, can you flip it over and put it back in? This information is coming from the manufacture. Thanks.

I just bought this new regulator from you, part #AP4095285 made by whirlpool. The reg has on it maxitrol and these numbers printed on it 1034 88,,and 74006282. I need it set for Lp and there is no paperwork with it on how to set it or check which way it is now set. I unscrewed the top cap but there is no flip over piece with either nat or Lp marked to set it. There is a white plastic screw down piece that is screwed all the way down. Please advise how to set this regulator for Lp, I need my stove working again.

Hello John. The white plastic piece, that looks like a screw pulls out and flips over to convert to LP. The plastic piece has a long side and a short side. The long side needs to snap into the cap, with the short side down into the regulator, for LP. Hope this helps.
