Universal door gasket creates an airtight seal to prevent temperature loss and moisture. Replace when torn, cracked, or no longer sealing properly.
I have a GE refrigerator manufactured somewhere in the 1980's.and working great. The door gasket went bad so i purchased a universal door gasket. My refer has the metal track that holds the gasket in place. My piece of advice is to take a small piece of gasket before you begin (I had plenty of extra to begin with) and check to see if it will fit properly.
