Natalie M Jamica Plain , MA January 16, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT3600AAE The top parto of the agitator was floting to the top of the washwer I replaced the entire agitator (my appliance agitator could only be replaced in one part not the upper part only). It was super easy but one thing....the video on the website was not helpful because my maytag washer is older and does NOT have a screw down inside the agitator but has one 1/4 inch hex nut on the side down by the base. Good for me though because all I had to do was unscrew the nut, put the new agitator on, tighten the new nut and DONE!! One screw secured the whole unit to the shaft. I unscrewed the agitator, slipped the new one on, tightened screw and it was back to full operation. It took all of 10 minutes, and I was able to start doing was again.
