Chris Z Lewisburg , TN August 11, 2014 Tub was banging against the side of the washer Rebalanced the load but noticed the drum was sitting lower and the springs were wore out and it went out of balance easy, so i got the suspension rod kit and installed it and it works much better. It took me 2 hours because i didnt have adequate room to move around. Hour job if you have room. Gary M Honolulu , HI September 29, 2019 Appliance: Model 110.28002011 The washing machine would bang and skid around when the spin cycle engaged all other cycles functioned normally. Googled problem. Others with similar conditions resolved their problem by changing the vibration suppression springs or both the springs and the suspension rods. AppliancePartsPro has simple and easy to understand how-to videos, along with great suggestions and diagnostics. Replacing the parts took 40 minutes on a Sarurday morning and the subsequent test run confirmed I had resolved the problem. I could not see or feel any differences between the old and new parts but clearly the old parts were worn out. Good Job AppliancePartsPros! Peter G Indianapolis , IN November 19, 2018 Washer making excessive noise and vibration during spin cycle Replaced suspension rods/springs/bearings, etc. with kit from AppliancePartsPros. Took a little longer than I expected because I watched the wrong video on how to do it the first time. Once I watched the correct video it went smoothly and per the video. The video was a big help because I would not have done it correctly without it. Mike N Union , KY November 03, 2020 Appliance: Kenmore Washer 11028002012 Basket out of balance in spin cycle. Apparently the year 2012 Kenmore is a little different from the Whirlpool in design, because the video on how to replace the tie-rods shows a nice lip to hang the front rods on once taken out of the bearing cup. This is before you lay the washer down to push/ pull the tie rod out. At one point I even had the lid locked down with displaced tie rod since it accidentally hooked on it since you can’t really see. It’s not anything that can’t be overcome with patience, but on this Kenmore it was a lot trickier than shown on the video since I had to replace only 2 tie rods at a time since the front ones have no place to hook. If not locked the basket can fall out of place when tipped on its back. Also, the springs attached in the back to the tie rod aren’t shown how to attach to the washing machine. I had to lift the top plastic cover of the basket up to slide the spring on over the rod. It’s not obvious at first, but only way to attach. The plastic bearing also wants to slide on you when turning the spring to 90 degrees to lock in place. If you’re not careful it will spin the rod out of the bottom tab that holds the rod close to the bearing ball center. Make sure you wear a rubber glove so the rod doesn’t slide down from tie rod spring pressure trying to get this correct. It’s not absolutely necessary, but it would make it easier for a first time DIY’er. It’s any easy fix once you get everything set up correctly, so good luck and hope this helps.
