After the other time I took pictures of the back and sides with the screws I needed to use to remove the range top circled. That helped a bunch over the first time. Steve S Glendale , AZ May 04, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Electric Range MER6769BAQ Stove heating elements were either full on or off Replaced the infinite switch which controls the heat element temperature. I unplugged the stove from the electrical outlet. Then removed the top back panel to gain access to the wires. I removed the knob from the switch on the front to access the screws holding the switch to the panel. Then I removed one wire at a time and placed it on the new switch. I ordered switches for both small and large heating elements. The packaging does not describe which element it is for and the numbers are not the same as on the old switch. So I had to go back online where I ordered the parts to find out the proper switch for each element. I replaced two switches. It took about 30 minutes, but I work slowly. Read More...
