George C Bethesda , MD October 27, 2014 Appliance: Maytag 30" Gas Slide-In JGS8860BDP17 The "0 9" touchpad on the control panel of our eight year old jenn air gas range stopped responding to the entry of alternate temperatures time et cetera With Appliance Parts Pro's repair videos and helpful telephone sales representatives, I felt confident in replacing by DIY the electronic control panel on our eight year old Jenn Air gas range. The part cost just under $200. I saved over $160! The replacement part arrived in two days and I replaced it in less than two hours. Thank you! Background - Initially, I called a franchise appliance repair service. Technician diagnosed that replacing the control panel ($200) would "likely" solve the problem but that it might also be the circuit board ($280). I didn't have complete confidence in his recommendation. He returned with a part that included more than only the control panel because that was all that was available nowadays. The part was now going to cost $280 instead of $200. I cancelled this repair job, received my previous replacement part deposit and, fortunately, found Appliance Parts Pros. Sean B Somerville , MA November 27, 2018 Appliance: Maytag 30" Gas Slide-In JGS8860BDP17 The touch keypad had some dead buttons; among them setup so we couldn't changed the time By carefully following the video. Took me a little longer because I have no experience, and slowed down to do things carefully. A few people on the internet said that touchscreen errors on my model are sometimes caused by heat from the oven escaping a worn door gasket; so I replaced that too. BTW - the gasket was lost in transit; maybe Fedex mixed something up, or maybe it was taken from my front porch. In any case, the very helpful woman I talked to on the phone just sent me out another one, free of charge, instead of worrying over whose fault it was. I appreciate that you guys make it right for your customers. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
