It would shut off mid cycle and stop drying heat and drum worked fine. Michelle M. • Erlanger , KY • June 27, 2021
I noticed if I caught it early enough the light inside would be on. I googled it and found that it could be the door latch slipping and letting the door open, which would stop the dryer. I watched the video on Appliance Parts Pros and it was so simple. I ordered a new door latch and catch and fixed it in 2 minutes! Thank you so much!

Broken fill valve John N. • Tumwater , WA • July 14, 2015
The video associated with the part was easy to understand. The actual repair was easy - maybe 10 minutes. But getting the top casing of the washer fitted back over the base was a huge pain. That took 8 tries to finally get it locked in just right. The washer is 20+ years old though.
The parts were all exactly correct and fit perfectly. Shipping time was excellent. Parts arrived in about 2 days with "standard" shipping.
The washer works great now. This is the second major repair I've done...

- Common failure signs: door won't stay closed, must hold door to run, cycle won't start due to open-door indication
- Restores proper door alignment and engagement with the strike
What's included: One door catch assembly Install notes:
- Unplug the appliance before servicing
- Open the door and remove the fasteners securing the old catch
- Transfer the new catch in the same orientation; reuse existing screws if not supplied

The lid switch lever connects the washer's lid hinge to the lid switch, signaling when the lid is closed so the cycle can run. A damaged lever can prevent the safety interlock from closing, leading to no-start or spin issues. What it does:
- Transfers lid movement at the hinge to the lid switch actuator
- A closed lid so the washer can operate
- Common symptoms of a failed lever: washer won't start; won't spin; cycle pauses because the lid-closed signal isn't detected
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing
- Lift or open the top to access the hinge/switch area; locate the lever near the lid switch
- Remove the old lever and install the new one in the same orientation; free movement
- Close the lid by hand and the switch clicks before reassembly and testing
