Frigidaire Handle

Found the door easier to work on if it was removed from the microwave oven. That's easy - just lift and pull off. With the door flat on a table, took it apart, per a YouTube file. A broad knife putty knife (and a gentle touch) are critical. Unscrewed the "crumbs" of the failed handle. Reused the original screws (rather than the longer screws that came with the replacement handle). Attached the new handle. Put the door back together. Clicked the door back on the microwave. Took the handles and screw covers out of package and in two minutes, all was installed and looking great. Read more

It was a very simple fix - removed two screws (one from each end of the handle). I then held the new handle in place and replaced the two screws. Read more

Just screwed on the new handle. The new handle did not come with threaded holes, but this was OK because the screws that came with the stove were self tapping. This takes a bit more effort and the proper screwdriver, but creates the threads in the handle as you turn the screw. Kudos to A-P Pros for the quick processing and delivery of the order. Read more

I have a Kenmore dishwasher and this is the second time doing this repair. The dishwasher door wouldn’t click in place when closed and the lights on the control panel wouldn’t turn on. My kids like to push on the handle to get onto the counter causing the latch assembly piece to break after awhile. It’s a simple fix with the hardest part being getting the front panel lined back up to put back on. I ended up not needing the strike piece but got it just in case it had been bent. Read more

Online instructions say to carefully remove the door inner facing in order to acces the handle screws. Easily done with a couple butter knives and some patience. Popped right off. But then there was a 2 piece inner "door" still in the way. Removed two more screws then carefully pried it off the plastic clips and swung out of way. Removed handle screws and old handle. New handle is metal not plastic and uses supplied machine screws. Installed new handle and re-assembled. Read more
