Replacing the trim takes a little bit of alignment and light force. The trim slides over the glass panel of the door, with the glass sliding into plastic tabs. We kept the door nearly vertical (almost closed), lined up the tabs on the trim with the glass door, and used mild force to slide the trim down onto the glass door. Surfed the web, got advice, ordered the part, shut-off the electric power, disassembled back panel of door, removed wires for old switch and installed onto new electric door latch. Reassembled door panel - it is a little tricky, need some patience to get it all together, but it does go easily. Read more
