After unplugging the dryer, I removed knobs and control panel. I removed the 3 connectors to start switch. I had to cut and replace one connector due to shorted wire which burnt the connector. I attached new connector and then attached these to start switch. I then remounted all three switches to new control panel and reattached control panel to dryer. Plugged in and started right up! My wife put the faceplate on the oven control while I accessed the display by pulling the oven out, unplugged it, and removed the rear cover. Only three nut head screws held the upper back panel. 4 nut screws hold the display onto the oven, they were easily removed. My wife took a couple photos of the rear wiring to ensure we plugged the new oven control in properly (there are a fair number of wires but they are color coded in most cases). Disconnect the power to the fridge. First remove the control panel by removing the one screw underneath and then insert a screwdriver into the small square hole underneath in order to pull the lower left of the control panel towards you. You are pulling against a plastic clip and you need to pull fairly hard. Once the lower left clip is free the other three come unclipped fairly easily. Ordered a new Faceplate Graphics, removed old faceplate and installed new. Required removing control panel with switches and display, including 10 screws to get to the faceplate. Faceplate has glue on rim, so had to peel off old faceplate, remove residue, then put on new. Not difficult, but reaching to remove the screws was a little challenging in a small kitchen. A very common problem with the GE oven is the dreaded F7 error code. I purchased the control board as well as the keypad and replaced both. The error code could have been either part but since I saw a lot of grease, I chose to change out both even though I isolated the problem to the keypad only. By resetting the error first by hitting the clock button on the keypad, turning off the power,disconnecting the keypad, then turning back on the power if the code doesn't come back it's the keypad. ...
