Got help from the internet to diagnose the problem. Seens that the neutral drain part of the transmission will not shift to spin unless there is a pause after draining. Thought the problem might be in the transmission but found the timer wasn;t allowing a pause after draining.therefore the machine would not spin. Replaced the timer and problem was solved. Normally I would do a better job of investigating my problem with what others have experienced and then proceed with the cheapest fix first. This time though I just knew it was the timer. After taking the top off the washer I found the Tech Data Sheet ( for repair person ) The E53 code was listed as Low Voltage to the motor board and referred me to test #15. Which stated to check the "drum water NTC" ( Negative Temperature Coefficient or Thermistor). What was misleading was that there are 2 NTC's.
