Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Timer (Part Number: OEM11176125)

James, you may have lost the cold water solenoid on your water valve. On the cold/cold cycles it is not calling for any hot water. On cold cycles, if there is no cold water coming through the valve, it will not fill at all. On warm and hot, you may be getting hot water without any cold adding to the water mixture. Part number for the valve is 134190200

Tom, You will want to check the pressure switch to make sure that it is resetting, and making sure that the pressure hose is not clogged. If this checks ok. Also check the door switch to make sure that it is showing door in the lock state as these things will cause the unit to not go into the final spin.

Mary, Check and make sure there is cold water supplied at the faucet and the fill valve. Check for a hot, cold and warm water fill in the wash cycle. If all's OK suspect the cold water solenoid on the fill valve is failing and replace it.

During wash, the washer does not advance to next cycle (the timer makes a strange click/stuck sound). If we advance the knob by hand (turn off, then advance) it then functions in the next cycle. It fills fine and drains unless it is stuck in previous cycle. This had been occuring in all the wash options (whites, colors, delicates) but not the short wash option, which ran through the entire wash cycle fine...that is until a few days ago when that wash option started to do the same thing as the others. The buzzer alert at end of wash sounds much longer than normal too, like it is stuck. The buzzer in this model has always been loud enough to wake the neighbors, so that's very annoying (I'd love to just disconnect it!). Do I need to replace the washer timer element? PS, the dryer in this combo unit functions normal. Thanks!

Kurt, It does sound like this issue would be caused by a timer that is sticking and would need to replace the timer which is part number 134389700.

Dan, In most cases when the washer will not agitate or spin, the issue will be caused by a faulty speed control board which is located in the base of the washer. The part number for the speed control is 134149220.

Hello Barkergary. Make sure the knob is not stripped out. If not, replace the timer. Also, make sure the cold water on the valve is working. If not, and the screens are clear, replace the water valve on the unit.

Hello Curt, You will want to check the wiring for corrosion or damage. If wiring to door lock checks ok then you will need to replace control board.

My washer suddenly stopped going through the cycles of wash. It would do what it supposed to do for a bit with wherever I set the knob and pulled out, so fill up and tumble a few times then stop. Light on indicating door is locked but nothing. If I turn the knob it would resume for a bit and stop again shortly after. I'm also fairly sure that when I put it to spin it would just spin for a long time, sometimes seeming not as fast as normal to me and I got a bit worried so turned the knob to get it to stop. I replaced the timer thinking it was the problem and also after having a technician look at it to confirm but it is still doing the same thing. Like when you'd normally hear the timer clicking through it does not. Did I get a bogus timer or is there something else I'm missing to check?

Hello Mark, You may have a bad switch on the door or possibly a bad speed control or loose wiring. You will want to ohm out the motor. You should have between 4 and 6 ohms of resistance. If this is good then more than likely you have a bad speed control.
