Tom July 25, 2019 for Model Number PSS25MGMAWW The freezer "increase temperature" button on the Interface Customer Assembly is continuously activated. Seemingly "self pressing" - you can even hear it beep when the door is closed. The down button works, but before too long the temp control is back to maximum. A side effect is that the refrigerator side gets extra cold, as well. Will replacing the "Interface Customer Assembly" fix the problem?
1 Answer Tom, replacing the interface assembly WR55X10262 will correct the stuck keypad problem. Read More...
Stevens J. May 12, 2018 for Model Number GSS23WGSCBB The Interface customer assembly has no lights or function whatsoever. I assume the unit is dead, but I want to be sure that it is the only reason the refrigerator and that unit is not functioning. Before it went out, the ice dispenser chute will always build up ice even with the ice maker function turned in the off position. Don't know why that is, I assume maybe it has something to do with the thermometer or one of the units for the freezer/ice maker.
1 Answer Hello Stevens, You should first check the wiring harness at the3 door hinge for proper connection and damage. If good, you will need to verify voltage to the display board WR55X10519. The frost accumulation in the ice chute is from the ice door WR17X11653 not sealing properly. Read More...
Adan September 13, 2016 for Model Number ESS25SGSASS I have changed the main control board and overload start relay and run capacitor and still will not start just lights on in freezer an fresh foods section no lights in display of temp control and reset filter water area
1 Answer Adan, You will want to check the wiring harness at the bottom of the door to ensure that there are not broken or loose wires. If this checks ok the the display board would most likely be the issue. Read More...
Heidi June 08, 2013 for Model Number model pss25mgmbww One of the temp buttons doesn't work I'm unable to lower the temp on my fridge (the other 3 work). Do you think the interface cust asm p/n wr55x10262 (421) should work, or do you think it needs the asm control wr55x10172?
1 Answer Hello Heidi. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the interface WR55X10262 will need to be replaced. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Frank, The temp board not lighting up would either be the temp board or the main control board. Check the temp board to make sure that you are getting 12 vdc to the board. If you are then you would need to replace the temp board if not then you would need to replace the main control board. Read More...
Craig September 14, 2012 for Model Number GSS25PSMFBS My refrigerator is freezing everything. I have turned the temp down, but it hasn't warmed up at all.
1 Answer Hello Craig. You need to test the thermistors inside the unit and make sure they are good. They should read around 5k at room temp. If bad you will need to replace the thermistors in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ian October 03, 2011 for Model Number PSS25MGMBCC My fridge flashes 0 on both the freezer and refridgerator controls. It will not change, the fridge does not run. Do I change this part or the main control board ?
1 Answer Hi Ian. This means that your unit is stuck in self diagnostics's mode. Unplug the fridges for at least 10 seconds. Unit will reset when plugged back in. The LED. control panel is part # WR55X10172. The main control board is part # WR55X10942C. Thank You. Read More...
