Pat, If the unit is draining the water at the same time that it is filling with water then check the drain hose to make sure that it is not pushed down to far into the standpipe and make sure that the standpipe is at least 39" off the floor.

My washer works as it should, door locks etc, but when it comes to the spin cycle the water pump turns on, and the drum turns at the same speed as it does during the wash cycle, it turns a couple revolutions one way and reverses to turn the other way but never spins up to speed for the spin cycle, therefore the cloths are soaking wet when the wash cycle completes its self. I replaced the dial timer and this didn't correct the problem. Suggestions?

Travis, Check the spin enable switch WP22002162 on the door lock assembly(the switch farthest to the right), and the off balance load switches on the front of the tub ( at 1 o'clock under the concrete counter balance at the 3 o'clock position on the side of the tub and on the bottom of the front tub support) and the wires. If any one of these switches is damaged or stuck "open" the washer will not spin and will try to redistribute the load.

The machine runs through a "normal" cycle (no extra rinse) and comes to a stop. The "door locked" light and the "on" light go out and the door can be opened. When the timer knob is turned toward "normal" to run another load, the machine starts to run performing whatever part of the cycle the timer is pointing at. Apparently the machine is not off! If, at the end of wash cycle the machine is unplugged and immediately plugged back in, everything functions normally when you go to start another load. The wax motor for the door lock appears to be functioning properly. Do I need a new control board? PN wp22002988, (AP6006333)

Hello Ken, This is a relay on the machine control board stuck in the closed position. The units' serial number determines the correct part number for the board needed for your exact series. You can call us at 1-877-477-7278 with the model an dserial number and we will be happy to look up the correct part for you.

Washer will not spin. Door would not lock. I found a resistor R11 burned out on circuit board. I replaced it with a new circuit board but did not replace the wax motor for the door lock. The washer still wouldn't spin, so I replaced the wax motor. Still no joy. When I looked back at the new circuit board the R11 resistor was burned out again. Not good. I am assuming that the door lock wax motor was causing the resistor to fry. Now that I have replaced it, I still need a good circuit board but I don't want to spend another $220. I was thinking about getting a local electronics shop to soldier a new resistor onto the board but I need to know the color code on the resistor. Mine is burned so I can't tell the color combo to tell the electronics shop. Do you have any idea where I could find out or could someone look at a replacement board and tell me? Thanks

1 Answer

Allen, Unfortunately we do not have the size of the resistor information for the resistor on the control board.

Edward, This issue would be caused by a faulty control board W10763742. This control board has the pressure sensor in it which would be the cause of not filling or draining all the way. the unit should not spin unless it senses the water level to a certain point.

Jeff, It doesn't sound like a faulty control board. But replacement isn't a very difficult procedure. Remove the three screws across the rear of the console top, roll the console forward towards you, of course you'll need to unplug the power cord first. The drain pump power is supplied through the timer, not the control board so you need to start by checking the drain hoses for clogs or kinks, and the drain pump for poor circulation, first. Then disconnect the air dome hose from the water levels switch and blow in the end of the hose, this should clear any debris or sediment that has developed in the hose and tub, The water level switch has to reset to empty, for the washer to spin.
