Hello Bob. Access the pump and see if it is clogged and if there is power coming to it. If there is power there, it is not clogged, and does not drain, replace the pump on the unit.

Tom, You will want to check the spin enable switch on the unit. It is possible that the door lock light be on and the door to be locked but the latch is not depressing the spin enable switch in order to allow spin.

Katie for Model Number MAH4000AWW

Our washer has been making loud noises in the spin cycle, would shut off between rinses and I'd have to push start to get it going again. I cleaned the inlet screens and that corrected that problem, and we changed the bearings and seal kit. The washer is not spinning out now. I have also replaced the wax motor and the pump drain. Is it likely we will have to replace the motor and board to fix our spin problem? After the above repairs, the machine did a test cycle great, and I washed one load of clothes and it spun out fine. Then the next load it wouldn't spin. We also checked the belt and it did not have any flaws that we could see. We checked the board and didn't see any burnt out spots. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello Katie, You will want to check the spin enable switch to make sure that it is good. A way to test is to put into spin cycle and jump the last switch on the door lock which has a red and yellow wire. If the unit spins then you need the spin enable switch.

Hello Kris, You will want to check the control board for burnt terminals. Also check the lock enable switch to make sure that it is engaging. If it is not engaging the unit will not spin. Also check the Motor control board for power when the unit is supposed to be spinning. If you are getting power to the motor control board then the motor control or motor would be faulty.
