Cecil January 31, 2012 for Model Number LXR7144EQ0 I recently changed the motor coupling and put my whilrpool washer back together. The washer spins now but as the water fills up it seems to not stop unless I shut it off manually and turn the knob on the control button. Is the timer off now? It worked before I did the motor coupling.
1 Answer Hello Cecil! Try running the washer again. If you unplug it and the water continues to flow the water valve 285805 needs to be replaced. If it stops running, check the water pressure hose to make sure it has not kinked or clogged and if it is ok, replace the pressure switch W10852420. Hope this helps, thanks! Read More...

John October 21, 2011 I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL WASHER AND THE ADD GARMANT LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE THE WASH LIGHT COMES ON AND WASHER IS WASHING FOR 10 MIN THEN THE ADD GARMENT LIGHT FINALLY GOES OFF. AND F22 HAS BEEN COMING UP ON THERE AT TIMES. WHAT PART DO I NEED TO FIX IT.
1 Answer John, The F22 error code is usually an indication of a switch assembly failure, That would also explain the "Add Garment" light being on. Before you replace the switch assembly, check the loading door and door strike for proper alignment to the front panel door opening. You'll need to supply us with a model number, if you need assistance with a part number. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Jim N. September 24, 2011 for Model Number GSL9365EZ2 The washer goes through all cycles okay, but does not drain the wash water, if switched to spin mode the water drains. If put on extra rinse cycle the washer works okay, it rinses and drains. But does not drain on other cycles. Could this be a problem with the control switch? Do you carry the switch?
1 Answer Hi Jim. The timer is part # WP3953548. This should take care of it if you simply change the cycle's and all works then. Thank you. Read More...
Leelamoni July 09, 2011 for Model Number whirlpool alpha fully automatic-metallic innerside Even new clothes are torn or damaged in the washer. Can I exchange it for a non-metallic (fibre body) semi automatic machine ? If so,wahat are the concesion for it.
1 Answer Leelamoni, I'm not positively sure I understand your Question, But if you wish to exchange your washing machine for a different model or make, you will need to discuss that with the dealer you purchased the machine from. However, most damaged clothes complaints are due to improper loading and chemical usage, you may want to review and follow the use and care manual that came with the washing machine. Alan K. June 08, 2011 for Model Number cannot find it Old Maytag washer heavy duty 2 cycle. The mechanical dial that times the wash, rinse, and spin modes does not advance. If you manually turn it to each mode you can wash clothes. I'm thinking new dial. Am I correct? Can you just buy the dial or do you need an entire control panel? Also, where do you find the model number?
1 Answer Hello Alan! It sounds like you will need to change the timer assembly. We will need the model number to verify the part number. Here is a link to model/serial number locator to help verify the locations of model numbers, thanks! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
