Fan Blower
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26X31060

The Fan Blower is an OEM part for GE ranges and wall ovens. This part helps to circulate air within the oven cavity. The fan blower ensures that heat is evenly distributed during cooking, contributing to consistent cooking results, and prevents the electronic components from overheating, which could lead to malfunctions or reduced lifespan of the appliance.

Causes of damage to the Fan Blower can include accumulation of debris and grease, which can obstruct the fan and strain the motor, and mechanical wear over time that affects the fan's efficiency.

Symptoms of a bad Fan Blower in a range include:

  • The oven not cooking evenly
  • Overheating of the range's electronic control panel
  • Unusual noises, such as rattling or buzzing

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You "cooling fan running to slow"   Sharon G. • Sand Creek , MI • October 21, 2016

After researching the problem, I ordered a new cooling fan. My "fix-it" guy winds up in the ICU for 3 weeks! So...YouTube here I come. It appeared pretty simple in video form, except the video wasn't of my stove. All in all, what looked like no more than a 6 screw removal, turned into tearing 1/2 the stove apart. Still, only took about 2 hours start to finish. Best lesson learned, turn off the energy efficiency mode!!! Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Very noisy convection fan   Daniel P. • Tampa , FL • June 08, 2019

Ordered a new convection fan motor and blade. Had to remove current blade from inside oven, then remove back panels (yes, it took two to get to the fan motor), and replaced the motor. Old motor well past shot. Had been noisy for about 3-4 weeks, but our kitchen was being remodeled, so we let it slide. Once it was clear how to remove back panel, the job was easy. Took about $100 and 2 hours of my time, but the oven convection fan is running silently again. Have not installed the new fan... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Fan was making a weird noise   Raymond A. • Brookville , OH • February 19, 2016

First I did a search for my model stove, I read the discriptions of what it was doing and came to the conclusion it was the fan motor. I then called an appliance dealer in my local area to find out that the fan motor cost all most double what I could get it online. I called to see how much it would cost to have a repair man come out and fix it, which would have cost 260 dollars. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place.
