Cut off power ,inside I remove the two back screws, remove the two front screws with hangers. Pull element out, clip wires so they don't fall back in holes with clothes pins. worked good. But wire connection to the broiler was to large, had to replace connectors, wire fell in hole, had to pull wall oven out and remove back panel. I then mounted the new element to oven. We had ordered and installed the drip pans and when we took a look, we knew we needed new elements. Those were perfect; exact replacement. The problem was on the eight inch units, the rim of the drip pan touched the element. It was a simple matter of removing a small bit of the drip pan where the element enters.
