I found exploded parts view of oven and looked for oven sensor probe and control card parts. I also looked at great videos and read past repair stories. I decided the problem had to be one of the two parts (probe or card) and ordered both. I decided that the probe should be changed first rather than involve a circuit card. I changed the probe and tested the oven and it works again. Read more

Removed the front off the back panel, unplugged the old unit. Then using a blow dryer heated the old timer to peel the face /cover off and applied to the new clock. Plugged in the replacement clock. Replaced the front of the range. The only complaint I have is we were not informed that a new face would not be included and the old one would have to be removed and applied to the replacement clock. I started searching for the model number online and GE did not have any info but I found appliancepartspro.com, they had the control board which I was looking for, so I called them before I bought it, they confirmed the part and put the order in. I needed to replace the light bulb in the oven, but forgot to turn off the breaker and unplug the oven (NEVER DO THIS)!!! There was a spark, and my control board was fried. The range top worked fine, so I knew if was the control board (if you no longer see the digital clock and none of the buttons are responsive, it's a pretty good indicator that it's toast). Replaced control panel and overlay it was very easy. Just four screws and a few connectors.. If you plan on replacing the control board be sure to order a new overlay also. It makes the repair so much easier. Read more

I put in a new oven control board. So instead of putting the temp knob 80 degrees higher than it should, I dont have to do that anymore. The best part is I get to make our gingerbread houses as gifts! Because of a great support staff that worked on sunday the two gals there know their stuff. Took old board out and put in new board. When electricity was applied, it WORKED! I put silicone caulking in three cracks that water could get to the control board. Read more

The replacement part was: CONTROL OVEN ERC3HP Part Number:WB27K10378 It looks like this superseded the original part, so maybe the mfg knew about this issue? I could not find disassembly instructions so just went straight into it.
