I removed the door, mostly so we could really clean the all the nooks and cranny's of the stove, and make the handle and gasket replacement easier. Attaching the new handle was not difficult, but did require some minor door dis-assembly. Removing the old gasket and putting on the new gasket was a breeze. The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. The video shown was completely incorrect for the gasket needed on my range. I had to remove the door, disassemble the inside panel, and remove the old gasket. I suggest you have assistance when doing this. Putting on the new gasket was challenging but not impossible for a do it your selfer. You should make a video for this gasket so people don't think it is as easy as pulling a few pins around the window!! Read more

Remove the 2 screws that connects oven incert to frame. Slide incert outf .5 inch. Removed old seal and replaced it with new seal. Pushed incert back into frame. Screwed the 2 screws back into place. Read more

The fan was straightforward unscrew and disconnect wires then reinstall. The gaskets required the door to be disassembled contrary to the video that was provided when purchasing the gasket for the door. Disassembly was not hard just take a lot of pictures so you get everything back into the correct place. Also, a good time to clean door frame and wash the glass. Read more
