Very easy fix. Turned of power at breaker. Removed oven door by lowering two "keepers" on the hinges for the oven door and sliding the door out of the oven. Removed the trim plate at bottom of oven by pushing it up.. Removed 2 screws that mount to the frame of the cabinet at the bottom that the trim plate hangs from. Then removed 4 screws that hold the oven into the cabinet at either side of the oven. Put two 5 gallon buckets in front of the oven and slid the oven out onto the side-by-side... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The convection fan on my ge profile convection wall oven burned out   Doug C. • Staunton , VA • February 18, 2015

The motor hummed but the fan didn't turn. Clearly the brushes were burned out. I ordered a new fan, although I had to talk to a human at ApplianceParts because my model was not listed. The part was a perfect fit. The only problem is determining how to remove the over to reach the back, no instructions anywhere online. But trial and error eventually worked. You absolutely need a nut-driver that fits the hex head screws on the oven to remove panels covering the motor, but a cheap... Read more

Ge Tangential Blower (60M)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26T10042

Tangential blower that moves air through the oven's ventilation and control areas to help keep components cool and vent heat. Replacing a failed blower restores airflow for quieter operation and more consistent cooling around electronics. What it does:

  • Circulates air across the oven vent and control area to dissipate heat; symptoms of failure include little or no airflow.
  • Helps cool control electronics and nearby components; failure can cause high temperatures or thermal-related shutdowns.
  • Reduces noisy or rough fan operation when bearings or motor wear.
  • Supports proper venting after use to help the appliance cool down safely.
What's included: One tangential blower assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before accessing or replacing the blower.
  • Allow the appliance to cool fully; remove access panels to reach the blower.
  • Handle the blower and connector gently to avoid damaging the motor shaft or wiring; ensure correct orientation when reinstalling.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The control console cooling fan was very noisy when the oven was on   Keith K. • Plainville , MA • July 27, 2014

I ordered a replacement fan and removed the old one and installed the new one. The job took only an hour because I had replaced the cook top a few months ago and know how to remove most of the parts to get to the fan. The biggest tip I can give is not to force anything. You need to be gentle with dis-assembly and re-assembly. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE Profile range display dead after self cleaning.   Lance C. • Wooster , OH • May 07, 2022

Replaced the thermal limit switch and blower. The blower had been getting noisy lately and was most likely the cause of the limit switch blowing. Upon removal of the blower it was very stiff when turning by hand. Easy to change the blower - disconnect the power, open the back of the range and three Phillips screws hold the blower in place. Replacing the limit switch was a different story. First, as the limit switch blew during cleaning the oven door was locked shut. With the display dead,... Read more
