First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. Order part and removed 3 hex head screws at top front edge of dryer and slightly lifted up on control panel to lift off pane. It has hangers that support panel while servicing. Remove 2 screws at inside top edge of dryer opening (where lever of switch protrudes) disconnect 3 wire clips at old switch and restore wire clips at new switch and place switch into position and restore 2 screws to secure switch body.
