If your dryer won't shut off or cycles won't advance, the timer may have failed. This control manages drying cycles and run time. DIY repair in 20 minutes.
With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Fixed it in 5minutes. One end has a Phillips head screw and the other has a tab with to metal leads for wires. The end with the tab broke. I removed the screw for the other end abd the sensor bar came off. To put the new piece on, I connected the wires to the leads, slid the tab end into place on the drum and screwed in the other end. Water inlet valve was not supplying water to ice maker. The water inlet valve is not available/DA-03150A. Samsung was no help. Appliance Parts Pros said that part DA 81-05997A was the replacement part. This part includes the entire housing that the water filter and water holding bottle are housed in, and of course, the water inlet valve. After resetting the ice maker it started to produce ice cubes in about 12 hours. Read more
