This hose did not just attach to the back of the washer--that would have been too easy. This hose went into the back of the washer, under the tub & attached to the pump at the front of the washer. Both the back & front of the washer had to be removed to access the hose. Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. I ordered the parts that were specific to our washing machine, it took maybe 5 minutes to install, and everything fit perfectly. Now we're washing again and no leaks! Read more

Replaced the drain pump and the drain hose (since I was replacing the drain pump). The new drain pump seems to pump out the water more forcefully than the one replaced. Have not received a LD code during the wash cycle since the replacement was installed. Read more

Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. Prior to ordering parts I had pulled the pump strainer basket and cleaned it out. There was both soft and hard scale build up. The tub-to-pump hose was also pretty crusty/slimey. Still got warnings for SUDS and repeated F02 errors. Ordered parts and replaced the pump, tub-to-pump hose, interior drain hose and exterior drain hose (both hoses has some slime build up).
